If you have any Xiaomi smartphone with MIUI version 12 and above,you might have noticed that you can no longer lock apps to memory , select Split Screen or floating windows from the Recents Menu.

Here’s how to fix the locking apps issue.The other features are still problematic and have no solution yet.

  1. Go to the security app

  2. Tap the Setting gear located at the top right
  3. Go to Boost Speed
  4. Select Lock apps
  5. Toggle on the switches for the apps you want to be locked in memory/ram
