How to fix YouTube won’t open this link

YouTube Vanced is a superior version of the default YouTube app that allows you to block those annoying ads,skip sponsorships and enables background playback.

However,you might encounter an error saying “YOUTUBE CAN’T OPEN THIS LINK ” when you click in the links provided in description or chat when using YouTube Vanced

Here’s how to fix that annoying error.

Go to Settings
Tap on Apps
Tap on manage apps
Tap on 3 dot menu to display a set of options and select Default apps
A default apps screen will be presented
Go to ‘OPENING LINKS’
Scroll down the list of installed apps until you find YouTube official or Youtube Vanced
Tap on the one you want to be your default YouTube app
Tap on “OPENING SUPPORTED LINKS” option
Select “OPEN”
