How to enable the search feature in Swiftkey Keyboard’s toolbar

The only reason most of us made the extra effort to download and use SwiftKey keyboard over Google keyboard was the ability to google search within the keyboard itself.

With the new version 7.8.3 Swiftkey removed the search feature completely and they say that they won’t return it.
There’s no way to enable the feature in the new versions unless you download a previous versions.

Here’s how to download the apk file for swiftkey keyboard and get back that search feature.

1.Go to https://en.uptodown.com/android or your favourite site to download apks from

2.Search for swiftkey keyboard or use this direct link to grab the apk

3.Go to older versions

4.Select version 7. 8.2.5 or any older version you like

5.Download it and install it.

6.Open the Toolbar by tapping the “… ” on the top right

7.Select the Search icon, select reorder items and drag it to any area you want.

8.search for what you’re looking for into the box right there in the Toolbar.
